The Blue Jays and the Sam Gaviglio Solution

Ryan Andrews

Crack open a beverage and kick back with a special late-night recording of Locked on Blue Jays as host Ryan Andrews welcomes Jays From the Couch grand poobah Shaun Doyle back onto the program!

As Sam Gaviglio struggles under the Tropicana Field sunlamps, Andrews and Doyle discuss what the Blue Jays plans for the surprise starter should entail, and how it relates to Joe Biagini.

In the second half, the two Nova Scotians discuss the sustainability of the hot streaks of Aledmys Diaz, Randal Grichuk and Kendrys Morales, and Doyle raises the possibility of a campaign to get Teoscar Hernandez into the All-Star Game.

Nine Locks did not pay for the promotion of their beer during their podcast. It is just tasty stuff.

Special Thanks to @CBradley2829 for his question!

Ryan Andrews is a born-and-raised Canadian trying to forge a career in the sports game. The Nova Scotian has been following sports since Ken Griffey Jr. got his own baseball game on SNES, and been writing about sports since high school, when the blogosphere was wild and untamed. Andrews continued to chart a course along this path while obtaining a Sports Journalism diploma from Centennial College, writing about the Toronto Blue Jays on the self-published Tailpipe Sports before contributing to Jays Journal for a brief period before joining independent site Jays From the Couch as an associate editor. There, Andrews contributes to JFtC Radio and is a co-author of the Amazon best-selling JFtC Guide to the 2018 Toronto Blue Jays. The 6'4" righthander brings a sharp wit, a keen eye and a brain that made Jeopardy rethink allowing Canadians on the program to Locked On Blue Jays. They reside in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
