Blue Jays Monday Musings – The Beat Down of Baltimore

Ryan Andrews

on

It’s a strangely positive edition of the podcast as we celebrate the Blue Jays’ four-game sweep of the Orioles!

Host Ryan Andrews comes on to the podcast to celebrate the Toronto efforts over the past weekend, even if it came at the expense of Baltimore, a team that still needs to pay Chris Davis $100M.

The rotation gets praise as Jaime Garcia, J.A. Happ, Aaron Sanchez and Marco Estrada all delivered solid turns against the O’s.

Andrews also discusses the acquisition of Preston Guilmet and how it relates to Joe Biagini‘s tenure with the club.

In the latter half, Andrews hits upon what the offense needs to do to make series like this one occur regularly, in particular players like Randal Grichuk, Curtis Granderson and Aledmys Diaz.

The Nova Scotian has been following sports since Ken Griffey Jr. got his own baseball game on SNES, and been writing about sports since high school, when the blogosphere was wild and untamed. There, Andrews contributes to JFtC Radio and is a co-author of the Amazon best-selling JFtC Guide to the 2018 Toronto Blue Jays. The 6'4" righthander brings a sharp wit, a keen eye and a brain that made Jeopardy rethink allowing Canadians on the program to Locked On Blue Jays. They reside in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
